windows could not automatically detect this network's proxy settings reddit Poll of the Day

I’ve been using the Chrome browser and have been getting a lot of proxy settings. I’ve been surprised at how many proxy settings are there and I wanted to know what they were. I thought I needed to be using HTTPS, but it turns out my proxy settings could be detected by a Chrome extension.

This extension is called proxy-detect. It uses a lot of CPU and memory, but it does do something pretty cool. It looks at your proxy settings and if you have any, it will tell you. And if you dont have any, it will give you a nice message letting you know.
